Refunds
This policy explains when refunds are and aren't available for Bonded Ceremony registrations and physical goods. It sits alongside your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, which always apply where you buy as a consumer.

The bond registration fee is non-refundable. Once you complete checkout and your bond is registered, meaning a Bond № has been issued and the entry has been written into the registry archive, the registration fee cannot be refunded.
This is because the registration is the product: a permanent archival entry, a unique Bond №, and a certificate produced for you.
If something has gone wrong with checkout and a Bond № has not yet been issued (for example a duplicate payment, a failed order, or a clear technical fault on our side), email us at hello@bondedceremony.com and we'll sort it out.
If you change your mind about a bond being public, you don't need a refund, you can switch your listing to private at any time from your account, or by emailing us. The underlying archival entry remains in the registry.
Shipping costs are non-refundable except where an item is faulty or the wrong item was sent. Risk passes to you on delivery; please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout.
Email hello@bondedceremony.com with your order number, what you'd like to do, and (for damaged items) photos. We aim to reply within 3 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and usually appear within 5–10 business days.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. If you bought as a consumer and a product is faulty, not of acceptable quality, or doesn't match its description, you are entitled to a remedy under those Acts regardless of the rules above.
